It was great to learn about how they prepared the cheese every day. The guide was young but really knowledgeable, we asked any questions we could think of and he answered eagerly. If you want to actually see how it's done, I suggest you take the tour by 11.30 at the latest, because we were told each day's preparation usually ends by then. We were really late (we took the 16.00 tour) and the place seemed deserted. Still it was really nice to see all the equipment and learn about the process. Also nobody else was there taking the tour, so it was like me and my brother had our own private tour. Aging room is the highlight of the tour and it was really amazing, the pictures do not do it justice. The tasting at the end was also delicious and was helpful in choosing which kind to buy and take home.

A tour here is a great way to spend a morning or afternoon. It was fascinating to learn about how much work goes into making a wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano. The tasting at the end was amazing and made the tour fee worth it!
