Constructed in 1144 and remodeled in 1659, Duomo di Lecce lies in the heart of the city upon a wide plaza. Admire the cathedral's Baroque architecture and the different details on each facade; the second entrance features statues of saints. Look for the 12 altars in the nave, as well as the religious paintings throughout the wooden interior. Step to the piazza outside to see bell tower.
