  • 17th-century Palazzo Reale was once a noble residence and royal palace of Savoy, and today houses liguria superintendences and the Galleria di Palazzo Reale. On the noble floor, it features a number of elegant rooms decorated and furnished in the 18th century by the Durazzo family and in the 19th century by the Savoy. The Galleria degli Specchi, sala di Valerio Castello and Galleria della Cappella belong to the 18th century. The Throne Room, auditorium and ballroom date back to the Savoy era. Among the works exhibited, two paintings from the seventeenth century deserve a special mention: the "Portrait of a Lady" and the "Crucifix" of the Flemish Van Dyck. Interesting are also the sculptures, the frescoes and Genoese furniture dating back to the seventeenth-eighteenth century. The terraces and garden are rich in greenery and exotic plants. They have a splendid risseu visible in the inner courtyard (risseu are decorative stone mosaics of floors, typical of Liguria). From the terrace you have views of the port and Piazza Statuto.

  • The Royal Palace is beautiful and well worth a visit. The entry fee is relatively small, especially for the quality of the art and architecture.  more »

  • This palace and museum was built in the 1600s and redeveloped over time. It has 18 rooms open to the public, all of which are phenomenal. This is a gem, a kind of little Versailles hidden in the Old City and overlooking the busy port. The surroundings and entrance-façade are not so great, but the palace itself is just amazing, you cannot miss it.
  • Amazing place! Definitely worth going! It is a stunning palace of royals. A lot of rooms, wonderful garden, magnificent pieces of furniture. Pay attention to the ceilings - they are true masterpieces. Ticket is 6€, for people under 25 it's 2€. You will be asked to leave your backpacks and jackets in case you have them.
