  • Go in and look how olive-oil used to be made under bad human conditions in the old days. Take about 30 minutes to see al for a small amount  more »
  • Interesting little museum to learn more about the history of olive oil used in oil lamps. Audio in different languages available. Short, cheap and good to learn from the history of Gallipoli  more »
  • Interesting history and well-preserved. Inexpensive entrance with audio in your language of preference. It takes 5-10 mins to check out and worth it to see a big part of the town’s history and foundation.
  • Fun little historical spot that tells you all about the historical olive oil presses that were dig into the ground in Gallipoli. The oil was used for lamps and the conditions were awful--blindfolded donkeys and poor air quality for the workers. But it was a booming business until electricity took over. It's €1.50 and took me about 20 mins-they give you a laminated history in your language and the press itself is just 1 big room (and musty) so not too crazy to get around. Interesting and worthwhile, but not a must-see (even for someone who loves cooking like I do!).
