I have visited only few rifugios so far, but Andolla was the best. Staff is very warm, friendly and carring. Rooms are nicely renovated with comfortable beds. Rifugio has unlimited hot shower, which..... more »

Clean hut in good condition, friendly people which mostly don't speak English and certainly no German. They seem to rely mostly on pre-packaged food for snacks, cakes and breakfast which is a bit strange considering how much staff they have.

It is reached from Alpe Cheggio in 2 hours (if the pitch is good). First stretch with small climbs and descents by the lake and in the middle of the woods. Second part on steep slope to climb the coast of the mountain on which the shelter is located. The path is always well traced. The building looks newly renovated and is very clean (local and amenities) and bright. A few simple courses for lunch (shin or polenta with various stews) but good quality and well cooked (which is not obvious in the shelters). Desserts are also good. Very honest price (just over 15 euros apiece). Friendly managers. We didn't try the overnight stay.See original
