  • The hill of Montrigone is a place rich in history, from the Neolithic to the Middle Ages. It was on the ruins of the castle of the Counts of Biandrate from 1631 onthe local community that the local community began to build the church dedicated to Our Lady of Graces as a former vote for protection during the plague of the previous year (the one told by Manzoni). The work did not end until 1700 when the worship of Our Lady superimposed that of St. Anne. The interior is mainly full of statues made by the Ferro brothers to tell the life of the Virgin but it is not always visitable. Outside, the Via Crucis, made up of 14 chapels (some painted by Lorenzo Peracino) is well worth the journey.

  • Nice sanctuary, placed in a context a little too cemented though. The view of the concrete condos below is ugly strong. Around beautiful historic buildings built of stones/stones/bricks and in the pavements of the streets. It looks like a village besieged by concrete.
