The beach of Baratti is reached by passing through a splendid pine forest that offers an exceptional view of the coast, where there are some equipped bathrooms and stretches of free beach. Generally the sea is remarkable, even if, unlike the coast south of Piombino, that of Baratti immediately becomes deep, so it is not really suitable for everyone. However, it remains a beautiful beach of fine sand, even if sometimes there are annoying beds of seaweed on the shore that make it difficult to walk on the shoreline. The only sore point is the paid parking, perhaps the most expensive of the Val di Cornia parks.
