Fontana sant'Andrea, Amalfi

#22 of 71 in Things to do in Amalfi
Fountain · Hidden Gem · Monument
Sited in the middle of a busy piazza, Fontana sant'Andrea is a marble Baroque-style fountain representing the apostle with four cherubs and a nymph at his feet. This 18th-century art piece once stood in front of the cathedral's monumental staircase before it was moved to its current location at the end of the last century. During the feast of St Andrea, the procession that runs through the town to the beach starts from the fountain.
