Hamat Gader Park, Tiberias

#2 of 8 in Spas in Northern District
Spa · Spa / Wellness
Relax in the steaming hot springs of Hamat Gader Park. Built by the 10th Roman legion, the bathing complex dates back to the second century CE. The park is rich with ancient ruins of the original bathing complex, along with remnants of a 1,500-year-old synagogue and Roman theater. The hot springs themselves have a high concentration of sulphur, believed to provide a therapeutic effect for a variety of ailments and pains. Be sure to walk down to the small zoo area, which features both an alligator farm and petting zoo. Put Hamat Gader Park on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Tiberias online tour itinerary planner.
