Ginosar Village, Tiberias

#2 of 6 in Outdoors in Tiberias
Outdoor Activity · Hidden Gem · Beach / Pool Club
Ginosar Village draws tourists with its annual world music festival and the historical display of a Galilean fishing boat that dates back to the time of Jesus. A group of Labor Zionists founded the village in 1937, at first as a typical wall and tower settlement built to protect the area from Palestinians. Today, the erstwhile farming community focuses mainly on tourism. In the green hilly surroundings of the kibbutz, you can enjoy a wide array of outdoor activities, such as river sailing, horseback riding, and buggy trips across the dunes. The museum occupies a former residence of Yigal Allon, an Israeli politician and IDF general. Plan my Tiberias trip by asking Inspirock to come up with tips and suggestions.
