Rosh Hanikra, Rosh Hanikra

Burrow beneath sparkling grottos above turquoise pools at Rosh Hanikra, a cavernous chalk rock formation in the Mediterranean Sea. A landmark of the northwestern corner of Israel, the white cliffs rise up out of the water on the border with Lebanon, providing panoramic views of the hills of Galilee and out to sea. Ride the cable car to the grottos' shore, looking out for the remnants of the Haifa-Beirut railway left from the British invasion. Explore the 200m (656.2 ft) of naturally carved chalk caverns on foot, and keep your eyes peeled for indigenous bats and loggerhead turtles. Due to the currents, swimming in the grottos is not advised. Using our online itinerary creator, Rosh Hanikra attractions like Rosh Hanikra can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.
