Herodian Quarter/Wohl Archaeological Museum Reviews
מסע במנהרת הזמן של אלפים שנים לאחור בו ניתן לראות מבנים בהם חיו אנשי ה מעמד הגבוה של היהודים. בחפירות הארכיאולוגיות נמצאו פסיפסים מדהימים שנשתמרו באופן יוצא מן הכלל ומעידים על עושרם של אלו שהתגוררו במ... more »A trip in the thousands of years of time tunnel to see buildings where the high status of Jews lived. The archaeological excavations found amazing mosaics that were preserved in an extraordinary manner and attest to the wealth of those who lived in the buildings. The quarter is not large and the time to be devoted to the visit is up to an hour. The price of entry is symbolic, and the means of an audio may be used to explain the findings of the site. Recommended.
Kicsi kiállítási tér. A kiállítás anyaga érdekes, de nincs különösebb leírás a tárgyakhoz. A vetítés nem túl látványos, inkább propaganda szagú. more »Small exhibition space. The material of the exhibition is interesting, but there is no particular description of the objects. The projection is not very spectacular, it is rather a propaganda odor.
We visited our Holy Land, The State of Israel, during a journey of faith, visiting rather important historical places. The Wohl Archeological Museum is not to be missed... Located in the Jewish Quarter, 1 of the 4 quarters of the Old City of Jerusalem. The 116,000 Sq. meter area lies in the SE sector of the walled city, stretching from the Zion Gate in the S, along the Armenian Quarter on the W, up to the Street of the Chain in the N & extends to the Western Wall & Temple Mount in the E. It is inhabited by 2,000 residents, home to yeshivas & synagogues, most notably the Hurva Synagogue.
Do not miss this amazing perspective on the Old City as sit existed during the period of the Second Temple. It's truly amazing.
