Marble Hill Strand, Dunfanaghy

Very clean wide sandy beach with easy parking nearby. Lifeguard on duty during season. Depending on the weather the waves can be excellent for body boarding and surfing. Seems to be a safe beach with shallow water extending far out. Good views too. Wetsuits advised if you want to spend any length of time in the water. Relaxing place to spend the day with a small coffee and ice cream shop just off the beach entrance.

Wonderful scenery, beautiful crystal clear waters. Pristine beach. Unfortunately all of the above was spoiled by selfish dog owners, allowing their dogs to roam freely of the leash, with young children playing. One particular dog owner of a labrador (Toby), did not even apologise after her dog had scared the living day lights out of my two-year-old grandchild, and six-year-old daughter. Surely Donegal Co Co have some sort of policy regarding dogs not on leads. For the record we were on the beach Thurs 6 June 2019, between the hours of 12 - 2.30pm.
