  • The customs building was designed by James Gundon in 1791 with the style of Georgian architecture. It is located on the north bank of the River Liffey, between the Talbot Memorial Bridge and butt Bridge. The facades of the building are decorated with heraldic images and sculptures that symbolize the rivers of Ireland. When the Port of Dublin was moved downstream of the River Liffey, the use of the building to collect customs duties was no longer relevant. It has now been taken over by the Irish Department of Environment, Communities and Local Government. We didn't get inside.

  • Neoclassical architecture building former Customs office that does not pass unnoticed to the visitor of Dublin. It impresses with its volume and architecture by the river. Nice lighting at night.

  • Definitely a nice place to visit, admire architecture and walk around.... Don't spend to much time here if your visit is short
  • We went for the new year custom house show on 31st dec 2016. The event is free of charge and we love it. Sky dance, fire crackers were all done at The custom house
