  • This is a great stop for kids, historians and art lovers. Venue is free but please contribute at the drop box to help keep it going. Kids love the military equipment on display. Historians will also love that along with the displays that follow a timeline and have a great deal of background posted. The art side is not our normal stop but the collections are impressive for a free visit.
  • It is a museum that contains diverse exhibits from the Irish in various armies around the world to exhibits on silverware. As an adult it is quite interesting to see Irish history and seeing the historic ship the Asgard was very interesting for me. For kids they see a big boat and there are parts of the museum they get to handle which kids like. The museum could do with some more child friendly parts to the museum. There is a temporary exhibit at the moment on dinosaurs and early bird evolution which of course is always a favourite for adults and kids alike.
