The Cobh Museum, located up the stone steps just across the street from the train station in the small historic 1854 Scots Presbyterian Church building overlooking Cork Harbour, has a wide collection of exhibits, photographs, books, artifacts and memorabilia reflecting in varied themes, the cultural, social, commercial and maritime history of the town. Included in these are a number of rare and interesting documents including log books, manifests (prisoner lists etc) of ships that sailed to Australia, as well as the last written record for the RMS Titanic in the Pilot's Log book. The museum also contains historic information on the Presbyterian Church and includes a genealogical reference service to visitors tracing their ancestors. It's a voluntary museum and run on a not-for-profit basis. The volunteer staff member on attendance when I visited was most welcoming and friendly.

Its small but interesting. Bit overpriced at €10 for 2 adults and 2 kids, given that there are places in Cork with free admission.
