Coral Strand (Tra an Doilin) Reviews
Se il Connemara è un posto unico in cui ogni angolo, ogni scorcio, ogni colore merita una sosta, perché le sue sfumature e contrasti sono mutevoli quanto le nubi che si rincorrono nel cielo, dall'ocea... more »If the Connemara is a unique place where every corner, every glimpse, every color deserves a stop, because its nuances and contrasts are as changeable as the clouds that chase each other in the sky, from the ocean to the hinterland, the Coral Strand is a precious stone set in this corner of heaven. It is the homage that the gulf stream makes to this coast, depositing there an endless strip of pieces of shells and tiny corals that, at most, can extend for half of a little finger. It is almost a pity to walk on it, aware that at every step we will inevitably destroy something that nature has created over the years. But you can't help but walk, crouch and let these tiny masterpieces flow in your hands. It is almost a must, if you have enough time, to wait for the sunset, when the blades of amber light that filter through the clouds and intertwine in the air and on the ground, light up the corals of warm shades. And at this point the eye can only touch the sky, the sun falling slowly, the beach that seems to be preparing for the night rest, ready to give the best of itself again with the first cold lights of dawn. It is not known where to lay the gaze, but at the same time the eye moves, instinctively, with the calm and delicacy that this place deserves. It is difficult to get away, but only when you leave you can realize the atmosphere of serenity and peace that this beach has given us
Absolutely beautiful peaceful getaway place. The coral beach is really interesting. Sunset was lovely. Well worth a visit. Long road down but worth the trip. more »
Absolutely breathtaking place.Nice and fairly intimate beach, probably top in the country and I have seen hundreds of beaches here over 14 years.Gets very wild on a bad day as it is open and on the West Coast.
Beautiful small rugged strand with stunning scenic views.
