  • Carrigfoyle Castle was granted to my ancestors, the Sandes family, in the 1650s, by Oliver Cromwell, for services to crushing the hopes and aspirations of the Irish to being a free and independent country. Not sure how the locals would take to me turning up and claiming it back for the family 😯
