Tayto Park, Ashbourne

Zoo · Theme Park
Have a family fun day at Tayto Park, an amusement park centered around one of the country's most popular brands of chips and popcorn. Opened in 2010, the park features a zoo where you can come face-to-face with unusual farm animals, including miniature donkeys, pygmy goats, Ouessant sheep, and Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs. Other family-friendly attractions include rock-climbing walls, mechanical bull rides, live puppet shows, and face-painting activities. Take a self-guided factory tour to see the popular potato chips made from start to finish, and then visit the park's teahouse, built into a giant sycamore tree and serving tea, coffee, light snacks, and homemade ice cream. • Lovely day out. Kids really enjoyed. It was very quiet (Mid November but we prefer it that way as my son has Autism) and big rides and pet farm were not open. Staff was very friendly and professional. Food in main restaurant was lovely. Will definitely come back!!!
  • Great day at Tayto Park in December. It was freezing cold, but what was open was a lot of fun for the kids. Lots of animals out and about despite the temp. 4 stars because the 5D cinema, which was part of the package and one of our favourite things to visit, was closed. The new flight training ride my kids got to ride twice tho, and they LOVED it. My 3 yr old was nearly tall enough to go on everything, so no sad faces when leaving.
