What a wonderful experience. Lovely way to end our month in Ireland. Stephen's art captures the essence of the Irish...its people, landscape, musicians. He is a "people" artist. The faces cry out "I'm Irish." So many of them looked like my Irish father...especially the noses.🤗 And what a warm, inviting person Stephen is...I wish we had time to return and chat and spend more time looking at his art. As soon as I walked in the studio, I knew we had to take home one of his paintings. We are the proud owners of a print of a painting of two Irish musicians...a flute and fiddle. I would love to live in Ireland but in truth I can't but I can surround myself with things that epitomize this country. ART, in its many forms, Identifies a place...weaving, painting, pottery. With this print on my wall, I will always remember my beloved Ireland and the people we were blessed to share time with. Thank you Stephen for packaging our purchase. For anyone traveling in Donegal, you must visit this wonderful srtist at his stufio just outside Ardara.
