Qur'an Gate, Shiraz

#17 of 77 in Things to do in Shiraz
Landmark · Tourist Spot
Once the city's main point of entry, Qur'an Gate stands majestically at the northeastern end of Shiraz. Initially constructed in the 10th century, the gate was restored several times over the centuries to the monumental sight you see today. Look up to the room located on top of gate, previously home to two handwritten Qurans, now preserved in a nearby museum. Before you head to Shiraz, plan trip itinerary details with our user-friendly Shiraz tour itinerary maker, to make sure you see all that Shiraz has to offer, including Qur'an Gate.

  • Very nice atmosphere especially at night. Passengers park their cars and rest here. The only attraction in here is people. The place has nothing much to offer.
  • My first time here. for historic place lovers. Just love the ambiance.
