One of the most rewarding free activities in Ubud, Campuhan Ridge Walk doubles as a picturesque and eco-friendly bicycle ride. This paved trail traverses some of Bali's prettiest landscapes and offers nature lovers a chance to get some fresh air, stretch their legs, and escape the more crowded southern sections of the island. The trek starts at an 8th-century shrine in Ubud and snakes across verdant hills for a little over 9 km (5 mi). Suitable for hikers and cyclists of all ages and fitness levels, the trail passes through tiny villages and right next to a cozy guesthouse, where you can rest and recharge before going back or charging onward. You can plan Ubud trip in no time by asking Inspirock to help create your itinerary.
Campuhan Ridge Walk Reviews
The path is well maintained and easy to get to. It’s a nice walk, good views. There was no one there when went. There is not a lot of shade so I would recommend doing this in the morning before the.... more »
We strolled Campuhan Ridge and back and absolutely loved it. We went mid afternoon and found it relatively empty, although bear in mind the walk is quite exposed and there's not really much in the... more »
This is a good way to get out of the city without needing to leave. The walk is very easy about 20 min long and has paving stones the whole way. The South side starts along a river and goes by a temple. This section is steep but short. We did the hike at sunset on a full moon day and it was spectacular. There were 270 degree views of the full moon rising and the breath taking colors of the sun set. Unless there is a full moon rising I would suggest finding something else to do with your time. If you are near by it's a great way to burn some of that amazing Bali food off. It is however better then staring at a computer screen.
This place is lush green with river flowing down adjacent to the path. The best timing to visit is during sunset and sunrise because you would love the combination of greenery and that reddish zenith. At least I loved it. It's around a 2km stretch where you can walk with little elevation. It's around a km away from the Monkey Forest so you can easily walk down to this place.
