Definitely do this tour. They pick you up from your hotel (if you’re in Ubud, it’s part of the price). There’s the driver and Dewa the guide. You’ll pass rice terraces where you can take photos if you like. They first drive you to the coffee plantation where you get to taste a group of coffees and herbal teas. Along with the coffee you’ll get breakfast, which is prepared by Dewa’s wife. The breakfast is smal and simple, but satisfying and will provide enough energy for the upcoming bike ride. (BTW the coffee plantation is right next to a Bali swing, but I’m not sure if it’s THE Bali Swing). Next you’ll be transported to the top of the route where your bikes will be waiting for you. Next you’ll be offered helmets and help with adjusting the seats. Then your bike ride begins. You’ll pass gorgeous rice fields, small village temples, Orange groves, and lush green nature. We got to see fields where they were planting and new crop of rice and later we stopped at a field where they were harvesting. They even allowed me to try my hand at harvesting a bit. Dewa will be happy to stop for photos if you ask. The tour ends at Dewa’s House, where lunch will be waiting for you, courtesy of Dewa’s wife. His 11 y.o. son also wowed us by playing a soothing musical instrument (I didn’t get the name of the instrument). Lunch was delicious. It was such a treat to eat at Dewa's personal house and have a large sampling of typical Balinese fare (Tempe, corn fritters, chicken satay, omelet, vegetables, noodles, and of course, rice.

A great day trip. Starts out by van with a few stops and a snack on the way, then onto bikes for an easy gentle downhill ride on quiet sealed roads back to Ubud, with a substantial and delicious lunch at the end. Great scenery, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and very well priced. Highly recommended.
