Batu Bolong Temple, Senggigi

3.6
Welcome the tranquility of Batu Bolong Temple, a temple set against the crashing of waves on Batu Bolong rock. Cross the natural rock arch just over the coast to reach this small temple facing the horizon. The fourteen pagodas sprawled along the volcanic rocks that protrude into the sea make for a scenic view. Take in the scenery as the wind carries the pleasant fragrance of fresh flowers offered to the statues of Hindu gods. A popular setting for photography enthusiasts, the site looks particularly dramatic at the end of the day, with the sun setting below the arch. • Great little local beach with a warung run by a nice young family. Great food and great swimming. The Hindu temple is ancient and is situated right on the rocks over the ocean.
