  • Most people spend time at Crystal Bay, but the quietness of Pandan is worth the additional 20 min walk (paved mostly). Even if you are not alone on the beach, there are only a few most of the time...  more »
  • This is getting popular as we see tourist here. Very close to crystal bay with relatively easier access, this is nice small beach in between the rocks /forest. This was unknown beach 2 years back but....  more »
  • There was no access to go here unless from Crystal Bay. Go straight to the western cliff of the bay and you'll see attached concrete stairs. Hike a bit and follow the path, it will take you around 15 mins but the view above the cliff will amaze you, just like "Wow!". Be careful as the stairs on Pandan beach side were quite damaged. Normally before Corona, there was one local shop selling drinks and small bites but when we were there, there was no one but us. We had the beach all to ourselves! However, the waves were pretty strong so we did not dare to swim but rather took a dip among the rocks which breaking the waves into smaller ones thus it's safer.
  • Simply drive to Crystal Bay, don’t forget your 2k for parking and head to the beach. You’ll probably notice a lot of boats and a lot of people. That’s okay, turn left and walk as far as you can go. You’ll see some stairs that disappear up the mountain, that’s your path. 15 minutes should take you up and over to Pandan Beach. Sharing the sand with 3 other couples, an umbrella and beanbags for 25k each and some ice-cold drinks gave us the perfect end to the trip! The waves can be a little strong (the sea lay claim to my red sunglasses), but the water is swimmable. Some of the local kids were even showing off their surfing skills for a while! It is so pleasant to just sit, relax and take in the beautiful view at the end of your trip, after all of the activities (and stairs) over the past few days. We had snacks, Bintang, chilled and headed back late afternoon to find some dinner along the beach.
