Komodo National Park, Komodo National Park

#2 of 8 in Things to do in Komodo National Park
Trek through the rugged hills and forests of Komodo National Park to see a wide variety of wildlife up close. Founded to protect the Komodo dragon, the world's largest lizard, the park covers a number of islands, including the two biggest--Rinca and Komodo. In addition to the giant reptiles, you can see macaques, Timor deer, wild boar, water buffalo, birds of all kinds, and more. Once you've explored the island on foot, be sure to spend some time snorkeling or diving through the spectacularly diverse marine habitats of its waters, featuring colorful coral reefs, spidery mangroves, swathes of seagrass beds, and dramatic underwater mountains. With 1,000 species of fish, plus dugong, manta rays, sharks, dolphins, sea turtles, and at least 14 species of whale, you're sure to spot something that will take your breath away. Inspirock's itinerary builder makes planning a Komodo National Park trip simple and quick.

  • Seeing the komodo dragons is unique, but seeing them like this... The visit consists of a treking in which in theory you can see the dragons. We didn't see them, but at the end of the visit they take you to the cafeteria where "casually" there are (by chance) 3 dragons to take your picture.... The truth is, I was a little disappointed
