  • Great massage, very relaxing and professional, very quiet with nice music in the background. They block off areas so you can have privacy, beds were comfortable and there was a fan. We had coconut...  more »
  • Been here many times. Air conditioned, friendly staff, inexpensive as the rest of Amed. Massages are always relaxing and they wipe the oil off at the end. Recommended  more »
  • I've received an array of massages across southeast Asia for cheap and never expect for them to be perfect, after all, you're paying for a $10 or less for a massage.. I'm very easy to please when it comes to them, and happy with any standard full body massage. Today one of my girlfriends and I came in after a dive, and we weren't expecting much. Asked for a 1.5 hr aromatherapy massage for 140,000 IDR ( about $10 USD). The guy massaging me had just finished my legs when he told me to scoot up, and when I did, I had no idea there was a pot of hot oil he had placed between my legs above the sheet, so when he told me to shift forward the whole pot of hot oil and candle wax spilled onto my leg causing a serious burn.. Now if they had been apologetic about it or even slightly sympathetic/accommodating to the pain I was in, I would've been fine. As soon as it happened, I yelped in pain, got a cold wet towel, all while they sat there and laughed. Once they realized it wasn't a joke and that I was actually severely burned, I don't know if the guy got scared and immediately went on the defense, but kept repeating it was my fault, and that we needed to pay for everything, etc... Bare in mind my girlfriend lives here and kept trying to talk to him and he wasn't having it.. When I told them i didn't want to finish the massage, they still tried to force us to pay... Also keep in mind, they had only just barely finished our second legs (not event a third way into the massage) and expect us to still pay so I refused. Especially now that the burn was going to effect my diving for the next day and mainly because the guy was so ridiculously rude to us. The guy attempted to lock my friend in the massage shop until we gave them money. We called our friend who is also a local here, who came to the shop and talked to him and explained the situation. The man ended up sincerely apologizing for everything which made everything ok, untillll, yes the story goes on... Until this horrible, 50's - 60's-ish women walked up, basically yelling at us about the whole situation when she hadn't even been there the whole time to know what had happened.. She literally jumped at us acting like she was going to fight us. Once she started to get hostile, that man that had initially burned me started yelling at her to go inside and proceeded to get into a fight with her. I appreciate the guy apologizing and everything and understand accidents happen, but the whole situation was so unnecessary and the way we were treated was absolutely not okay.. If you do end up going here (which I highly suggest you don't), do not get the aroma therapy massage to avoid this situation from happening to you..
