The fort hosts three religious temples, the Jalakanteswarar Hindu temple, the Christian St. John’s Church, and a muslim mosque. The first significant military rebellion against the British rule began at this fort in 1806. • Nothing much too see...you can have a good walk around the fort wall and see few museum inside fort... if you are interested...but avoid going in day time as in the month of Feb'19 itself it is too hot. Better go around 4 pm so that you can enjoy lovely evening at the venue..the best part which I like was jalakandeswarar temple in fort...it's Lord Shiva temple...very beautiful..big temple and a must visit if you are in Vellore..
  • Not that much too see inside. It’s nice and fine too see from outside and walking on the fort wall... Museum inside is only place to see with 5 rupees each, and the temple. But Don't go on the day time when it’s hot.
