Nongsawlia Presbyterian Church is the oldest Presbyterian church in Meghalaya. Thomas Jones, one of the first Welsh missionaries in the Khasi hills, founded the church in 1846. The redbrick edifice with a white bell tower was restored after the great 1897 earthquake. Take a walk uphill to the graveyard for views of the area.
