One of the highest points in Meghalaya state at 1,965 m (6,446 ft) altitude, Shillong View Point offers sweeping 360-degree views of the capital city. Lush greenery and the serene environment make this spot popular with tourists. Use one of the telescopes on site to catch a spectacular view of the waterfalls gushing out of a mountain. You'll need permission from the Air Force Station to access the peak, which lies along an Indian Air Force road; this might take time, but free parking is available. Bring some snacks along.
