Walk across Lakshman Jhula Bridge to quickly get from one side of the Ganges River to the other. Before 1939, the only way to cross the river was by a bridge made of jute ropes. As floods happen on a regular basis here, a sturdier construction was needed to withstand the seasonal torrents. At one side of this suspension bridge, you can visit a temple filled with religious paintings and sculptures, while on the other you can explore a shrine known for elaborately carved icons of Hindu deities. The area around the bridge bustles with life, so do not expect any peace and quiet here. • This place is more than just beautiful. This is all sorts of calm and happy place. You can see the lighting at night, feel the breeze while looking at the river. It is a feeling that cannot be expressed in words. But yes, this place is 'Magical' 🌟
  • Crowded yet peaceful☮️. You could just stand in the middle of the hanging bridge. Absorb the undisturbed nature, people living in harmony with it. Pure serenity. Amazing place for photoshoot except for 100s other tourists and locals crossing the bridge. Be careful not to drop the camera or phone; the bridge might sway suddenly. Across the bridge also there are many beautiful temples and a forest trail. That road leads to the beetle's ashram🕊❤️
