During your visit to Arulmigu Manakula Vinayagar Temple, observe as thousands of pilgrims come to praise the god Ganesa and to cleanse their spirits. Learn about the temple's turbulent history, including several attempts by the French to destroy the building, all of which were fortunately halted by fervent protests from the Hindu population. As you enter abundantly decorated halls, notice the 7.5 kg (16.5 lbs) engraved golden chariot made entirely with devotees' donations. • Like my earlier review, no doubt of the divinity inside. And considerable improvements have been done to ensure ease of movement and at the same time good darshan to all. Would love to get a glimpse again and again.
  • Close to beach, this Ganesha temple is a religious attraction for people. Grand scale decoration suggests how important it is. The detailed depiction of gods and events are great, the roof paintings are really awesome. Inside is very spacious with small temples of many deities. Photography is not allowed but people sneak out mobiles. This place should be in must visit list for tourists.
