Tiffin Top (Dorothy's Seat), Nainital

4.0
#3 of 10 in Nature in Nainital
Enjoy a great view of the Himalayas, the countryside, and Nainital city from Tiffin Top (Dorothy's Seat), an observation point and a popular picnic spot on Ayarpatta Hill. Standing at 2,292 m (7,520 ft), the stonework bench at the station offers sweeping views of the hills with snow-capped peaks in the background. Built by a British colonel in memory of his wife Dorothy in 1936, the observation point offers inspirational views for painters and photographers. The trail to the top, which spans about 4 km (2.5 mi) from Nainital, meanders through rugged hills with lush greenery. Horseback rides can be arranged at Barrapathar, while more adventurous visitors can get their kicks with rope-sliding activities. Use Inspirock's suggestions to plan your Nainital trip and find the best activities and attractions for your vacation.

  • Long way tracking on the pebble path if you really want to enjoy the beauty of nature stop at some point click some photos n the do the same all along the way. Horse riding are also available if you r found of that. Forest is natural green, walk with clouds and when you reach the top just enjoy the cold breeze, and the view of nanital, and other mountains.
  • Tiffin Top also k/a Suicide Point !! If you don't go here , you're an Idiot. You will get one of the best views of Nainital from here 😍 But, you will have to walk on a high elevation/slope for a long distance, you need a lot of STAMINA and keep getting energy ( food + water ) to reach the place , ( wear proper shoes ) but it's worth your hard work !! 😎✔️✌️
