Believed to have been built by King Narasimhadeva I of the Eastern Ganga Dynasty in 1255 CE, the temple honors the sun god Surya and takes the form of a large chariot, with 24 elaborately carved, 3 m (9.8 ft) stone wheels acting as sun dials. As you tour the complex, note the many erotic maithuna sculptures, and carvings adorning the main pillars, walls, and other features.     One of the best in the world...Good location...Good climate... Absolutely beautiful stonework.... Millions of questions to be solved about the temple...How it was built in 1250 AD... How the stones were brought...How they arranged such huge masses of rocks... It is just amazing... Mind blowing... Awesome
