Dedicated to the goddess Kali, Kalighat Kali Temple is a Hindu temple and one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, consecrated places of worship. Every day, thousands of pilgrims visit this site set on the bank of a canal to pay their respects to a goddess that resembles a mother to them.
