Guna Cave, Kodaikanal

2.8
#5 of 11 in Nature in Kodaikanal
Cave · Nature / Park
Trek through a dense forest to reach Guna Cave, one of the area's most mysterious locations, made popular by the Tamil movie "Guna." Although you cannot enter the cave itself, you can hike around its misty and rugged landscape covered in an entanglement of roots, with monkeys frolicking in the trees. Top off your visit with a trek to a hilltop with a view, from which you can observe a lush valley surrounded by vast rolling mountains. Plan your Guna Cave visit and explore what else you can see and do in Kodaikanal using our Kodaikanal holiday app.

  • Good place to visit but the sad story is they closed the cave because of life loss so whatever I saw like 20 years before is not the same what you all seeing now All you can see is just a view point Definitely 90's kids is the last Gen who enjoyed the actual view of this point but still you can enjoy this place as it is a historical place I will share few pictures which you may have better idea about this place Don't take any snacks as you can find lots of monkeys which will rob your things from you
  • Don't know why this place is part of Kodaikanal touring guide.😐 The valley view is something which you can have almost anywhere on the road which leads to this spot. Still, if you have a stop here, try to scale up the roots/rocks structure on the side of the caves which lead to a quiet spot with a nice view, away from all the din on the tourists.
