See the tiny blue flames coming out of ancient rock crevices at Jawalamukhi Devi Temple, a popular pilgrimage spot nested in the sub-Himalayan Dhauladhar range. Dedicated to the goddess of flaming mouth, the temple features a modern white marble fa├žade covered by an ornate gilt roof with a dome and pinnacles. Hundreds of thousands of pilgrims visit the spot every year do worship Jwalamukhi deity, offering milk and ablutions.
