    The area is a place of beauty, which is really lovely to visit. However, there is very little information available about the wildlife sanctuary, and it turn out that from the Idukki Town side you can only go on a 30 minute boat to see the dams. We never worked out whether you can actually hike/ have a guide to show you round. If you go with the intention of seeing animals you will be disappointed... but worth a visit regardless as the boat ride is lovely and there are lots of birds in the surrounding forest.

    A well maintained wild life sanctuary in Kerala. There you can enjoy the nature with cool climate and wild life. Also you can choose boat trip on dam reservoir, animals sighting depends upon your luck. Book ticket in advance.
