Over five centuries old, Queen's Bath remains one of the best-preserved sections of the World Heritage-listed Hampi monuments. Designed as a private bathing area for the king and his royal consorts, this structure probably formed part of a larger leisure complex, where the imperial family rested surrounded by dozens of attendants. A fine example of Indo-Islamic architecture, the rectangular structure features a relatively plain exterior and ornately decorated interior. At the center sits a pool nearly 2 m (6.5 ft) deep, surrounded by elaborate balconies and small windows. Fed by a vast network of canals and aqueducts, this bath once contained fresh water perfumed by thousands of aromatic flowers. The architecture is beautiful, but you need someone to explain it to you in order to appreciate it. Or you can simply walk in there cluelessly and try to google about the place. I did the later. Not recommended.
Queen's Bath. As the name suggest it was primarily used by Queens , and also told by Guides that it was also used for celebrating HOLI and allied occasions. Though no water in the tank but still one can guess what it must have been as local guide narrates the scene to you it comes alive.....
