What a beautiful place. We stayed right opposite to the gold course and it was fully covered with ice. Will definitely visit again to see Gulmarg when it's all green.

I went there in the month of May, so I couldn't see the snow laden Gulmarg and skiing, which was disappointing but instead I came across the gorgeous flowery valley. You could see the blooming vegetation. So winters might be considered as "the best time to go to Gulmarg" But summers aren't bad either.
