Everest Museum, Darjeeling

See the mountaineering equipment and mementos of those who tried to or conquered the Chomolungma at Everest Museum, a small museum detailing the history of attempts made to scale and summit Mount Everest since 1853. A collection of photographs, instruments and clothes of those who were ambitious enough to climb tells a chilling story of their adventure and epic success or demise. An interesting display of attempts by Indians and their climbing kits, head and camping gear details the national history of conquest of the peak.
