Built to commemorate King Rana Kumba's victory over two combined armies led by Mahmud Khilji, Vijay Stambha has withstood the test of time. The original 1448 tower still stands, with nine floors rising in 37 m (122 ft) of red sandstone and white marble. Carvings of various Hindu gods and goddesses adorn the structure, accompanied by inscriptions underneath. Each floor of the tower is distinctly marked with either windows or balconies. Inside, a spiral staircase leads through the galleries to the top. Use Inspirock's suggestions to plan your Chittaurgarh trip and find the best activities and attractions for your vacation.
