Religious Site · Hidden Gem · Tourist Spot
Reyniskirkja Church features traditional wooden architecture and stands on the top of a hill, overlooking the village of Vik and its black basalt beaches. During the winter, the snowy mountainous vistas make for pretty pit-stop photo opportunities. Considering this parish is isolated, pre-planning is essential, as you'll only be able to enter and/or attend services on specific days. Get in touch with a local tour operator for more info. • Nice picturesque church with cemetery. Plenty of parking space. On the way to Black beach.
  • What a gorgeous place to stop. Unexpected. The silence there is really suggestive, watching this small church and graveyard with the gigantic mountains behind. Really loved it .
