    Without knowing too much about this monument, it was a stark contrast to see hunks of metal jutting from rocks in a desolate area.  more »

    The disfigured metal structures of the bridge demonstrate the terrible power of nature. The bridge was demolished by a glacier in 1996. Slowly but surely. Inch by inch. Creepy, but very informative...  more »

    Quick little stop to understand what happened at the bridge in the mid 1990's. Kind of strange to appear in the middle of nowhere in southern Iceland.
