  • A lovely place to walk on the way to the city centre. We saw birds and cats. And lots of flowers. The kids liked it.  more »
  • Holavallagardur, called sometimes also the Old Churchyard was opened in 1838 . It is an amazingly atmospheric graveyard. Holavallagardur is one of the most magical places in Reykjavik. Mossy, narrow....  more »
  • Love the vibes it gives off
  • Loved this place which I literally ran through on an exploration of Reykjavik. Haunting in its vistas, yet with a calming ambience under cupreous skies. There are some famous graves of course, but the forest-like nature of paths and stone makes it a very Secret Garden. Not really mentioned as a tourist spot but if you are in town go spend a quiet hour. You will enjoy the solitude.
