Grjotagja Cave reviews
Pretty cool blue hot pot. I would recommend for those coming around the Ring road. But would not drive far just to see this place. It's nice but extremely small and not a lot you can do. Especially if there are crowds!
We visited yesterday. Like elsewhere in Iceland you need to be patient and wait for the bus hordes to leave and catch sites between rushes. There is little room to moves within the cave. One must scramble over rocks and through tight spaces for the best view. I would do it again because that is what tourists do who cross oceans to spend money. See stuff! Still I would keep your expectations low from a GOT perspective. Hard to find a spot in this cave to get naked. Still if you like the interesting and new then likely you don’t have a hot water filled lava lair back home. Be forewarned you can’t go in this water. The land is private and can be closed. There is a risk of rock collapse in the cave. Enjoy the travels!
