Litlanesfoss (Icelandic pronunciation: ​[ˈlɪhtlaˌnɛːsˌfɔss]) is a waterfall in Hengifossá in Fljótsdalur, Eastern Iceland, also known as Stuðlabergsfoss [ˈstʏðlaˌpɛrksˌfɔss, -pɛr̥s-]. The waterfall is about 30 meters high and forms an apron in a cliff. The waterfall is in a large rock choir with an unusually regular supporting rock made of high and straight columns.

  • Not for the feint of heart, you will be greeted by a steep - I mean steep - climb for a mile or more. The trail levels off, bends around the hillside and there She roars - Litlanfoss. A nice bench...  more »
