Roatan Rum Company, Roatan

Most of the people who come through Roatan are on cruise ships. We were staying in Roatan for the week. We bought a shirt and later on in the week we opened it and it was mildew stained and although it said large, it fit like a medium. When we went back we asked for an extra large and he said that we cant switch sizes because he had already done inventory. So we could only switch to another "large." We asked for a refund and he said they cant do it. So we went and opened about 10 shirts and they were all stained. At that point he relented and let us get an XL and those were not stained. I'm sure there are a ton of people who get back to the cruise ship to find out they have stained shirts. OPEN YOUR SHIRT AT BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE SHOP.

Super cool and fun place. They let you try an assortment of rum cakes (6) and sample the rum. The highlight for us was being able to choose our own extracts from 50 flavors and create our own flavor. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful when it came to mixing flavors. Definitely a worthwhile stop!
