One of the Netherlands' most popular and prominent art museums, Gemeentemuseum Den Haag houses an extensive collection of modern works and the world's largest conglomeration of those by Dutch artist Piet Mondriaan. Visit the museum and explore its themed exhibitions displaying art by a multitude of artists including Picasso, Monet, and Frank Stella, to name a few. You'll discover that in addition to paintings, the complex holds a collection of 50,000 prints and drawings from the 19th and 20th centuries, vintage fashion items, and even a selection of historical musical instruments. Exhibits rotate frequently, so be sure to check the website for information on current displays. het museum de architectuur is ook mooi. Heerlijk om door de tuinen te wandelen. Ook binnen mooi ruimtes, zeer de moeite waard. more »The museum's architecture is also beautiful. Lovely to walk through the gardens. Also inside nice spaces, very worthwhile.
Its a lovely museum with loads of frames from different artists. I would suggest visitors to look for the ongoing exhibitions there before planning a trip. Although the permanent exhibitions are also worth visiting. The ongoing ones are generally worth fir repeat visits. By the way, its good to carry 1€ coins for using the lockers.
If you like De Stijl it's a must visit! Great peaces of furniture but also a lot of paintings! Upstairs you can also find some contemporary art.
