But it still leaves the feeling whether the animals find it so cool to be constantly and always petted. Equally for children and adults
Bezoek aan de schapenboerderij was erg leuk. Toegangsprijs valt mee en daarna is er genoeg te zien en te doen. Verschillende soorten schapen, heel veel lammetjes, kippen, eenden, varkens, cavia’s etc.... more »Visit to the sheep farm was very nice. Entrance fee comes along and then there is plenty to see and do. Different types of sheep, lots of lambs, chickens, ducks, pigs, guinea pigs etc. Hugging the lambs is very nice. We also recommend the demonstration herding with the two dogs at work. A lot of information is also given. Coffee/tea with Texelian cake tasted fine. Very friendly staff. In short, we recommend.
Fantastic place for both kids and adults. Very interesting demonstrations about sheep dogs, the different sheep breeds, shearing a sheep. And possibility to cuddle farm animals, lambs, chicks, guinea pigs. Kids can take pony rides, play on the outdoor playground. And there's coffee and cake, with seating inside and out. And a gift shop. Lovely!
The sheep farm has a playground and different animals walking around the barn. The sheep are, when not outside, in small squares with their children. What hit me off is the sight and smell of moldy hay that was fed to the animals (after some research it's not deadly, but still unhealthy). They also give small chicks to hold, and lambs to cuddle. I sat down in the cuddle pen and waited for a goat to volunteer to get snuggled, but a coworker just took one and put it on my lap. It didn't want that and immediately jumped down. They also chase them and don't care when they hit their head on the fences. How they treat their animals is not okay. I don't recommend supporting those kind of people. The 5€ is better spent on charity or a farm that cares about their animals, not the money.
